The Magic Hour: Collective Effervescence
Senior Thesis Exhibition, May 2025.
This body of work is influenced by the 18th century sociologist Emile Durkheim, and his principal of Collective Effervescence. This phenomenon describes the sensations of vivacity and exuberance that occur in community, and in positive shared experience. Each piece in this body of work is a moment, or an example of Collective Effervescence, in the context of domestic and social spheres.
